Ten Kayano in his alien form is a humanoid elf similar to an angel. Due to an injury when he was an infant, Ten is missing his left wing, which means he can't fly. He has pale skin and red eyes, which denotes his royal lineage, along with gray wings and hair. Because he grew up on Earth instead of on his home planet of Omneeri, Ten spends most of his life not even knowing he's an alien. Learning he's not from Earth is an incredible shock to him, and he resents that his father, Jyo, never told him the truth about who he is until Jyo is forced to tell him due to Sano's arrival on Earth. Ten was orphaned by Sano, who killed the king and queen in a failed attempt to start a revolution. Jyo rescued Ten from Sano and stole him away to Earth, not realizing that by doing so, Jyo had now kidnapped the heir to the throne. Ten, learning all of this, wants nothing to do with their home planet or taking the throne of a kingdom he's never lived in. He was happy enough living as a normal human teenager, only having problems regarding the crush on his best friend and his insecurity at having his dad as one of his teachers. These new problems are beyond anything that he wanted or needed while suffering through puberty.
Ten's human disguise, which he didn't know was a disguise for most of his life. His human name is Michael Kayano, and goes by the nickname of "Ten" due to an elementary school mishap that allowed for the nickname to stick. It's okay because he thinks the nickname is cool. (It isn't cool.) He's a normal early 2000s kid who wears baggy wide-leg jeans and sneakers and hoodies. He fancies himself an emo, but Jyo forbids him from dying his hair, so he has an emo-ish hairstyle without the emo swag. Generally a happy young man, he does have bouts of depression because it feels like his father is lying and keeping things from him, even though Ten feels he's old enough to know whatever his father knows. This proves to be the wrong attitude, as once he knows what his father is hiding from him, Ten understands true anguish and rage. He has a crush on his best friend, Matt, but he's afraid to tell Matt because homophobia is all the rage (as the word "gay" at this point in time was used among the youths as slang for "weird"). Therefore, Ten stays in the closet until he can safely come out of it... in like a decade. Probably.

Jyo Kayano is a blue elf-like merman who presents as male, but in his culture he's actually from a third gender that humans can't comprehend. Therefore, he just says he's male, since he looks male when he's disguised as a human. The planet that Jyo, Sano, and Ten are from (as well as some other characters from this storyline) is called Omneeri and the main sentient lifeforms look somewhat like elves and merfolk and angels and such, but they're all evolved from a common ancestor and evolved to fit whatever environment they live in. It's said that the species Jyo is from, the Kawati, is the original evolutionary ancestor of all sentient life on Omneeri, but no one has formally studied this. As for what Jyo looks like, he's a blue elf-like merman. His skin is blue, with the front being a paler blue while his back is darker blue. This is because in the water, having a lighter belly when you're a predator means you blend in with the lighter water above. In that way, Jyo's like a shark, with sharp teeth and claws to rend flesh. He has webbed hands and feet, as well as seahorse-like ears that are also webbed. He has gills in his neck but can also breathe on land. He has vibrant light blue eyes, again for hunting purposes, and darker blue hair. He wears an outfit that's basically a lilac colored romper with shorts that are attached via golden clasps and jewelry. He's also got similarly styled leg warmers and arm warmers. His earrings are shaped like fishhooks with little blue gems in them, and on his left shoulder he has a symbol called "The Mark of Waves" which symbolizes his gender identity among the rest of his tribe.
Jyo as a human, AKA the most boring man I've ever drawn. Look at him. That's just a guy. Just a normal adult man. Jyo's human job is that of a school teacher, so he dresses like a school teacher. His hair is black with blue highlights, his eyes are a darker blue than his true form, and he dresses in button up tops with ties and a sweater and slacks and loafers and the whole deal. He's so goddamn boring as a human. He still has his earrings, since that's how the holograms work for the human disguises. He also still has his tattoo, the Mark of Waves, since it's easy to hand wave a shoulder tattoo on an adult man. The bottom right bust of Jyo has his hair slicked back, since he does that sometimes. My man didn't even change his hair style. That's just Jyo. Or rather "Joe" since he's a human man.

Sano in his alien form. He's a humanoid elf guy with pointy ears and a thin, long tail with a tuft of fur at the end of it. His skin is lightly tanned and he has two mismatched eyes. His left eye is purple, while his right eye is gray. The gray eye is actually blind, and beneath that eye is a tattoo. His family believed his disabled eye, which he's had since infancy, was cursed and went to a healer who placed a tattoo under the eye to contain the "curse" placed upon his eye by "demons." In reality, he was born blind in that eye due to a genetic defect. He has long bright orange hair that usually dangles over the "cursed" eye, just so he doesn't have to explain why his eye looks like that. Other than that, he wears kohl around his eyes because he's from a desert region on his planet, and he paints his nails black to be edgy and cool. He also wears all black despite the desert because he wants people to know that he's evil. He is not actually evil; he's just an ordinary street thug who turned into a revolutionary hero after invading the royal palace and killing the king and queen. He was going to kill the infant prince, too, but his then-boyfriend stole the baby and fled to Earth. After a short stint in prison for treason, he was freed due to some technicalities, and now he's on the lookout for his ex-boyfriend and the little prince he stole. He says it's for revenge, but it seems more like he's lonely.
Sano in his human disguise. There's a new mechanic in town with a mysterious past and a sleazy smile. Neither of which deter the ladies in town from thinking he's a total hottie, even though he doesn't seem to know how cars work or even what a car is. Sano keeps his skin tone, but his purple eye becomes a little darker as part of his holographic disguise. His hair is also a less vibrant burgundy color to avoid the "that dude's an alien" allegations. Gone are his lovely elf ears and tail, and even his blind eye gets covered with an eyepatch. He doesn't like the eyepatch. Otherwise, he's still trying to be edgy with his big black boots and slutty black sleeveless turtleneck.
