Today's Nalbound Object of the Week is hat/cap from the Cliff-Dweller culture in what is now Northeastern Arizona. The shoe-socks from this region are more well known, so I am happy to be able to include this cap in the series.

A pair of nalbound socks with vertical braid on the center front leg. Toes show the socks are made in two colour spiral, pink and light yellow. The vertical braid on the center front leg is showing a bit of light blue tights, indicating, that the braid part is a bit too long. Stitch: FS 3+3F2 "Sortavala" Yarn: Finnish wool, tex 140*2, cold/sun dyed yarn, pink with cochenil after bath, yellow "spring greens", dye time 6 weeks in moderate shadow.

One of my favourite crafting projects for 2024 was these #Nalbound socks. Making them was a tale of woes, as #Nalbinding doesn't unravel easily, but I'm very happy with the end result, specially the heel spiral, it is almost as beautiful as the one in Uppsala sock! 🧶 #YarnCrafts
