Finger trembling, he presses play. Namjoon is drunk, that much is immediately obvious. His eyes are unfocused and he's loopy, and even more clumsy than usual as he twirls a random pen between his fingers and sends it skittering across the tabletop. He's in a space that looks like a mixture between a living room and a studio, probably at his home. "Biggest regret?" Namjoon says, squinting at the screen. Ah, he's reading comments from the chat. "I regret a lot of things. Like a lot. I've always been the type, you know? Overanalyzing shit, both past and future." Seokjin can't help the reflexive amused huff at the comment. Oh, does he ever know. - or: Seokjin and Namjoon broke up years ago. Then, right before a big comeback, Namjoon drunkenly blurts out during a livestream that his biggest regret is that he let Seokjin go.

Summary: Ever so gently, Jeongguk scoops the beetle up into his tiny palms, and puts it into the pocket of his cotton shorts. “I um, I think that my pocket is a bit more comfier than the floor. But, I won’t let appa be mean to you, kay?” He lets out a big yawn, resting his arm under his head to try and cushion it from the frigid concrete floor. “And bug, I won’t let him hit you either, I promise. Pinky promise, buggy. You are my best friend now.” Or Five year old Jeon Jeongguk has never felt the warmth of a loving embrace, he only knows the feeling of his father’s violent fists and hurtful words. When Namjoon and Seokjin Kim move in to a new neighborhood, they immediately notice something amiss going on inside the house next door, and decide to intervene.

On paper, however, this seems like a poor decision: Seokjin is struggling to get back on his feet, while Namjoon has his hands full with his ten-week-old baby. When Seokjin thinks about it, the two of them were never that close either – living together is unlikely to turn out well. Namjoon leaned backwards and said, “Look, I know living with us is not what you want.” Seokjin relaxed – was Namjoon too going through the motions to please Yoongi and Hoseok? “However, here’s why I think you should,” Namjoon added, and Seokjin choked on the pineapple juice.
