Most of us have been prepping for Thanksgiving this week. Despite a pledge from the President to lower grocery prices on day one, things just keep getting more expensive. We gotta fix this system and stop pricing people out of basic necessities like food.

Last weekend I rode my bike the entire length of the district. Along the way I met some incredible people, all with similar concerns. Cost of living, healthcare costs, price of food, etc. Things have to change in DC, people need to be heard.

Y’all, we are now in the longest government shutdown in U.S history. That’s unacceptable. Our representatives on both sides of the aisle need to sit down and solve this and get back to doing the country’s business, without making health insurance unaffordable.

Despite the successful lawsuit from multiple Attorneys General, SNAP benefits are still being disrupted and not fully funded. That’s unacceptable. We need to fully fund SNAP and end this shutdown while also ensuring that health insurance premiums won’t skyrocket.
