First time I came to this fest my big discovery was Nora Brown. That was 6 years ago, she must've been 13 or 14, still playing as "Little" Nora Brown.
I cringe at the idea of a "prodigy" and she doesn't really fit that bill. Not a Fleck level banjo player [β¦]

I have been a huge Nora Brown fan for years.
She had a free show scheduled for the Kennedy Center and decided not to cancel and instead did this and couldn't love her any more. 19-year-old young woman with lots to lose going into the belly of the beast [β¦]

This is Nora Brown at 13. She's gone on to do a couple Tiny Desks, performed on the TED stage, and has a handful of vinyl albums. And she's still only 18. It's been fun watching her progress these last few years.
