What a gorgeous shawlette. It's called Annis by Susanna IC, and it's free on Ravelry. Lovely. It's here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... 🧶

A lace scarf and two rectangular lace shawls hanging over a deck railing in front of a line of trees. Above the trees, the evening sky shines through the eyelets of the lace. From left to right, the scarf is deep blue, the first shawl is purple, and the second shawl is light blue.
One end of the scarf from the first photo during the blocking process. There are blocking wire running along the sides, and seven lace points are pinned out at the ends. The yarn is a vibrant medium-dark blue with streaks of lighter blue running through it. A couple of yarn ends still to be woven in stick out of one side of the scarf. This is the Lily of the Valley scarf from Nancy Bush’s Estonian Lace book. The small bobbles are nupps (rhymes with “soups”), a distinctive feature of Estonian knitted lace.
One end of the purple rectangular lace shawl during blocking. The two straight sides have blocking wires running through them, and another blocking wire holds the lace points at the bottom edge. The nupps appear in diamond-shaped clusters of four with a glass bead at the center of each cluster. This shawl is Something Borrowed by Kathy Lang, who credits Nancy Bush’s book for inspiring the design. The shawl is wider than the pattern calls for; I had made another for a friend, and decided I wanted mine to be wider.
The light blue rectangular lace shawl hanging on a different part of the deck railing. This photograph was taken years ago, shortly after I blocked the shawl, so the lace border lies flatter here than in the photograph of all three lace accessories. The shawl is in the shade, but a brightly sunlit portion of the lawn behind it highlights the pattern of eyelets and nupps.
I can’t let #ShowMeYourKnits #lace go by without some representation of my Estonian lace period. Gotta love those #nupps.
Nancy Bush’s book (see below) is amazing! Taught me so much. Highly recommend.
