I think this is a mason bee pollinating my pole beans. #bloomscrolling #gardening #ohiogardens
Fresh veggies from the garden. On the left is lettuce, in the middle are several heads of purple and green broccoli, and on the right, a pile of peas and kale
This morning, I did a little picking in the garden in a light rain. The garden looks glorious. Tonight's dinner will include broccoli salad and zuppa toscana π±

Pink Astilbe blossoms
Good Morning!
After a very busy weekend, it feels good to enjoy a morning walk around my gardens and to sit and sip a cup of tea on the patio.
This Astilbe didn't thrive where it was last year so I moved it. Seems like it's much happier where it is now. #LifeLessons

My peonies in their full glory! I think these are the Shirley Temple variety. I'm a native gardener mostly, but I make exceptions for non-native flowers that I have emotional ties to. My grandma grew these. β₯οΈ #flowerfriday #bloomscrolling #peony #ohiogardens

Purple Jeana Phlox with a Monarch Butterfly alight
Summer dreams on a dreary Ohio day. This is Jeana Phlox in my garden. Itβs a native discovered in Tennessee- an absolute butterfly, hummingbird and pollinator magnetπ
