The serious answer is that Oliver spends her winters taking a nap. I can't really call it hibernation or even torpor.
From carved spray foam coated in soil. To mixing in pieces of bark or painting on quickcrete for a rocky texture. Or even simply attaching stone tile directly to the glass with silicone, in the case of #oliverthetoad 's enclosure.

Food bowls with lipped edges are nice, and do a good job at keeping mealworms from getting out. Perfectly #oliverthetoad sized to boot! The only issue is that sometimes an isopod will tumble in and also be unable to get out.

A throwback to when #oliverthetoad had a Dracaena in her enclosure. She loved to nestle in between the leaves.
The plant is no longer in her enclosure because it got too big. After all, vivariums aren't static- they grow and change just like their inhabitants.

Can you see that lump? the one just to the left of Oliver's eyes.
That is a poison gland. All toads have them. When under extreme threat a toad will release milky white toxins through this gland.
