The amount of effort they put into Luffy vs Kizaru is insane. If you've been watching One Piece long enough you remember how fans would complain about Toei's lack of effort in animating the series. Now it's completely flipped.

The responsible for directing this episode it was Wataru Matsumi itself, the new co-series director of One Piece.
As I mentioned before, he directed episodes like 1051, 1101, 1112, the current opening, and now this episode, his work is really something else.

This guy showed us before how good animator is and how much he likes Gear 5, simply an amazing sequence.
Also, I liked the detail of Luffy farting, it was funny.

The best scene that I've seen from him, almost 2 minutes of non-stop animation, the camera work here is gorgeous, full 2D background animation and an unbelievable fluidity.

Zoro vs Lucci was made by Yong-Ce Tu, an incredible animator.
The soundtrack was on point, also, loved the linework, I might have something for thick lines, especially in the current One Piece anime.

This scene is one of my favorite parts of the episode.
It was so clean, the choreography was brilliant, and the art was great, reminded me of Soty artstyle.

Generational episode for the One Piece anime.
