On 28 February 2024, #ICC judges announced a record #reparations order, of more than €52,000,000 for #victims of the LRA's Dominic #Ongwen. Ongwen appealed that order, and on 7 April 2025, judges will deliver their Appeals Decision.

My faith in #intLaw is experiencing quite a dip at the moment. This one hits hard because we put a lot of work into impacting the #ICC's jurisprudence on forced marriage in #Ongwen, which was successful. But #AlHassan just went backwards & the fact that it will sit there leaves a bitter taste. #law

In addition to 4096 potential victims from #Ongwen (2038 of whom have expressed interest in also participating in the #Kony proceedings), there are 162 'new' applications for participation from #Ugandan #victims of:
- an attack on Lwala girls school
- Abia IDP camp attack
