We need to be careful of overachieving AI- rather than asking what happens if it goes wrong, we should ask what happens if it goes VERY right!

By 2029 most AI systems will be able to apply the full scientific method to an 80% useful level and start to provide genuinely disruptive solutions to big problems.

Intelligence can be defined as goal-directed, adaptive behaviour. The key word is adaptive. It’s about building systems that are automated but are also able to adapt themselves based on results.

Most AI systems aren’t there yet.
