On this #NationalWildlifeDay we encountered a juvenile #Crotalus #oreganus oreganus, known as the northern Pacific #rattlesnake! This is a #venomous pit #viper species. Easy to identify with their flat triangular head & rattle at the end of tail. Hike safely around #snakes!
