Upon the surface of Nocturna, it is mostly a vast desolate dune. On one end of the planet, it's a desert wasteland while on the other end a tundra that never saw light its entire life. But in the twilight zone, it is populated by titanic tree-like organisms that breach the sky for any form of light that hits them, the heaven breacher tree. On the surface, they reach heights above mountains to catch enough light from the sun as they can to photosynthesize, while down below, their stone roots tunnel deep within the crust of the planet in search of any pockets of water, these heaven breacher trees are responsible for producing most of nocturna’s oxygen pumping out 83% of its oxygen alone.

This is it, the last part of this little project I made. I had fun making it and hoped you’d enjoy looking at all of them.

The air whistles through the cracks and canyons like a whisper, traveling through the maze of stone. The only thing that would listen to this whisper would be the stone roots. (metaphorically speaking) The roots branch across a majority of Nocturna, through rock and sand, going any which way in search of pockets of water beneath the surface of this dim planet. The roots sustain a majority of the herbivorous denizens that have adapted to consume the wood of the roots which also supplies them with water if chewed through deep enough, the stone root is a part of a much larger floral organism that's responsible for sustainable life on Noturna.

A change of pace with what I’m working on but there’s been a couple of posts featuring these roots so i decided to dedicate a part for it.
