I don’t understand why they had to be destroyed when they are confined and have herd immunity.
Migratory birds are infecting chickens on farms in the lower mainland and these birds were meant to be consumed. The Ostriches were not to be consumed.
Just a snippet of why this farm is where they are. I absolutely feel for the loss of these birds, but a poorly managed business coupled with a poorly managed outbreak should is not worth the risk of spreading #birdflu futher. #CanadaSky #BCHealth #OstrichCull #Canada
