Do you actually know how fusion works? Deuterium tritium fusion is not promising at all at scale, it's decades of failure. It's #p11b and #oneneutronstripping (wholly #aneutronic) that attract researchers now.
It's extremely unlikely any fusion works before China globally exports #thorium fission.
Expanding hydro dams makes no sense except in absolutely barren locations. But they are 170TWh of backup.
And 6GW would be 5-10x a typical nuclear design today. Are you mixing that up with expected #p11b fusion output of 4x fission?
Also nuclear plants are pre planted dirty bombs to hypersonics.

China replaced #coal plants with much higher pressure steam and now #supercriticalCO2 turbines. These are to be ready for #thorium once it or #p11b or #1NS is cheap enough. However those may never be cheap enough & pre-supercritical turbines will be obsolete if it is.
Expensive reactor very VERY expensive fuel cycle. But if anyone can get these neutron embrittlement and career eating machines to Dollar General, it'll be China.
Don't be a #nuclown. #p11b and #oneneutronstripping aren't crushed dreams yet.
#p11b or #hb11 #nuclearfusion progress

The US is literally wasting trillions on LNG, nuclear and wildly expensive pre sodium ion batteries. It failed to shift transport to EV.
China is following careful paths: replacing coal plants with high temperature boilers equally useful for #thorium or #p11b #fusionpower later. It put EV first.
Fission in China will peak with thorium in ex coal plants.
Billions going into new fission research while the #aneutronic and high-yield gamma-intensive #p11b fusion path is underfunded is clearly #militarygrift.
Lots of dense, controllable energy in a hydro dam, keep them full with wind & wave.
