Dear science🧪 people of BlueSky #Paleobs #Paleosky Do you know of any informal way to say "Further reading"?
It's for a science divulgation piece, and I would like to use a more colloquial alternative.
Dear science🧪 people of BlueSky #Paleobs,

The greatest paleoartists are all congregating here at BlueSky!

Safe Space sign with dinosaur silhouettes.
Another humble contribution to #PaleoBS 🦋 is this sign I made for my office. Using images that were “public domain” on PhyloPic, I put this together.
Artic Eva 3D scanner wrapped in plastic in a protective case.
Wonderful to see you again old friend. We will make beautiful #3Dscans of fossils together. #paleobs #paleosky
A table of fossils & activities in a warmly lit, rustic pub. In the foreground is a box of fossilised plants excavated from a local coal mine. At the other end of the table is a replica of a sabretoothed cat skull.
The skeleton of a giant ground sloth, standing tall in a brightly lit museum hall. It stands twice as tall as the people looking at it.
A small, brown toad sitting on a bed of compressed grass.
Absolutely loving how alive & upbeat BlueSky feels, particularly #PaleoBS . Already feels like I've made some new colleagues in a community seeking to connect with & elevate one another.
Got plenty of fun endeavours lined up in the near future, so stay tuned 😉❤️
Something tells me that this isn't an authentic dinosaur track, but I'm admittedly no ichnologist. 😉

A man a wide rimmed hat digs into a sandstone ridge with a geological hammer, looking for fossils. In the background, several other people can be seen digging along this quarry. The sun is shining brightly from above.
A man in a black shirt stands on a stage in a dimly lit theatre. He is holding a microphone & addressing the audience. On the screen behind him is a slide from a scientific presentation describing the strange fossil animal 'Tullimonstrum'.
A man in a black hooded jacket sits at a fossil preparation table in a museum storage room. Behind him are shelves of fossils & mineral specimens & manuscripts. He is speaking on a video call, with a laptop on the desk next to him. The man is gesturing to some specimens off-camera while addressing the video call.
A scene from a science fair in a rustic, warmly lit pub. A banner representing the local museum stands upright in the middle. On the left is a man standing with a table of fossil specimens & replicas, including the skulls of a sabretoothed cat & a diplodocus. On the right is a woman in an anglo-saxon outfit, with a table full of historical artifacts, including saxon weapons & a miniature diorama of a saxom building. They both smile & face the camera.
Big up #PaleoBS !

A NEW POWER IS RISING! ITS VICTORY IS AT HAND!
I’ve been dishing out #PaleoBS professionally since 2004! Before that was a lot of freelancing. Mostly in the sandbox making StompyMcRoary noises!
Ironic pet peeve...use of "fossil" in paleo technical writing. It's just too damned ambiguous. Are we talking about something that is fossilized? Extinct? Both? Multiple parts of the same individual? Or just an isolated bone? #paleoBS #paleoproblems
