February 22, 2026 - yesterday I was starting my sourdough journey 🤣. This is the card I started but didn’t finish until this morning. Pastels coloured the entire leaf then a tissue to dust and blend.

February 20, 2026 - I coloured right on the water colour paper just the “darker” parts of the stamp. I pulled the pastel around the edge. Then using a pretty wet aqua painter to move the colour to fill in the spaces.

February 19, 2026 - pulling the edge of the pastel across the paper creates a bold background. When working with chalky things like pastel, charcoal, pencil you can seal your finished work with a fixative to prevent smudging.

February 18, 2026 - two techniques: add scrapings and Shimmery Emboss Paste for background. Wet sponge rubbed on pastel stick for watercolour effect. A drier sponge gives a more intense colour.

February 16, 2026 - this week I have soft pastels on my desk. Mine is the older set so no Flirty Flamingo. First technique is versa mark and flat dragging of the pastel over top giving a two tone effect.
