My tomatoes have been outside hardening off uncovered when temps dipped to the 40's & survived. I'm wondering if I should just plant them all out. Our last estimated frost date is the 15th. 🤔 I think I'll plant out 1 of the early girls & see how it goes. 😬 #patiogardener #zone7b-8aNC

I went to collect pansy seed pods a few mins ago because I dont want to buy seeds every yr. Anyway out of the corner of my eye I saw movement, a baby praying mantis. This means I absolutely cannot/will not redo the grow towers. Nature has spoken. 🤷🏾‍♀️ #patiogardener

In 2016 I tried growing a garden for the 1st time. I made paper starter pots from newspaper & toilet/paper towel rolls. Don't ask. 😒 That season was a fail. The pests ate & I didn't. 2024 they ate but not as good. I hope they eat real bad this yr. #pettygardener #patiogardener #containergardener

Why did I just realize yesterday that one of my strawberry plants is of the alpine variety. I was watering my tower & plucking off dead/dying leaves when I noticed the leaves & flowers were so much different from the rest of them. I need to do better. 🤦🏾‍♀️ #patiogardener #containergardener

I also have a unknown to me tree I'm growing that's doing good. All the leaves fell off this winter & they're back. The story of the sapling is it started sprouting someplace where I didn't plant & wanted to see what it was so I rehomed it to a different spot. 🤷🏾‍♀️ #patiogardener #containergardener

I just uprooted some of my strawberry plants that didn't have flowers. I separated the crowns, cut off a bunch of roots, leaves & repotted. They're now being bottom watered outside with a bit of fish fertilizer. Let's see if I manage to keep them alive. 🤞🏾 #patiogardener #containtergardener #zone7b8a

Last yr I had something growing in 1 of my containers that I didn't plant so I pulled it out & put it in a different pot. Yep I'm growing a tree that will eventually have to be re-homed because I could. 😬😅 #patiogardener

I just learned that you can replace pepper in a pepper mill with Peach Melba Nasturtium seeds. This gardening journey has been so enlightening, I learn something new almost everyday. 😊 #patiogardener

Who wanted to see if she could grow microgreen seeds to full size…me. It's going great so now I know in a pinch it can be done. It's random & chaotic as hell because you don't know what you're growing til it's bigger but I'm not picky so it works for me. #patiogardener
