Very enjoyable day yesterday, my 1st visit to Durham CCC. Pleasant ground, lovely Lumley Castle backdrop. Good turnout of #petermayboys.
When we lost the toss, I imagined a Kookaburraed Durham total of 500 plus. No! The day's total was 335-15.

Great trip to Worcester. Really good turn out of Surrey supporters inc large contingent of #petermayboys, & a win for #surreycricket within 3 days. Characterful ground, welcoming people, a lovely city with some great pubs.
We wish Worcs well for the rest of the season.

Excellent company in Brum today, kind of Mark invite me for lunch, & good to talk with Warks & England legend opening batsman Dennis Amiss. Who was as bemused as any of us as to why Surrey asked Warks to bat first. A hard grind for Surrey ensued & a ton for Tom Latham.

Yesterday, the annual Peter May Boys trip to the races at Sandown Park. As ever, a good time had there & afterwards at the Watchman in New Malden.
