the gates to MLK from Landsdowne were locked as of 10:15am July 4. they also looked to be locked from Falls Bridge around 11:15.

Day 28: just a shorty to make sure i see out #30daysofbiking. rode up past the art museum, down Ben Franklin, then over to Race St. to see the TWO WHOLE BLOCKS of parking protected bike lane. #bikesky #phillycycling
Day 22: 27 or 34/35 climbs recon. only had an hour for lunch so i did the first few climbs from CC; Georges Hill, Greenland Dr, & Falls Rd. the easiest of the 27 (or 34/35) but the closest. a chippy way to start the ride.

alright! here we go. 187km, almost 3000m of gain. maybe someone with better knowledge of #phillycycling could help cut the total distance down but hey, a big day is a big day!
made an update to the 27 Climbs Route. from Center City and a little more efficient (less overall distance).

SCHA RESPONSE TO NO STOPPING LOW "SHCA Board Passes Bike Lanes Motion On December 2, the SHCA Board of Directors held a Special Meeting to discuss a motion regarding bike lanes in Society Hill. The following motion was passed with a vote of 15 for, 8 against, and 1 abstention: "The Board of the Society Hill Civic Association supports increased and safe cycling but the needs of residents must also be considered. The Board objects to the No Stopping legislation as written for the bike lanes in our community and requests a delay in the effective date of the law. We also oppose physical barriers along bike lanes in Society Hill. We urge discussions, including amendments to the law, with all stakeholders to find ways to address safety and accessibility for all, based on local conditions and needs."
hey Philly, if you're in district one like me, it's a good time to shoot your councilmen and mayor a quick note to thank them for passing the no stopping law and ask them not to make any amendments or changes to the law.
