In the foreground and continuing to the upper mid-ground, where it curves to the right is a trail of packed brown dirt strewn with small yellow leaves and dappled with white sunlight and the charcoal shadows of tree trunks. In the mid-ground continuing to the background are tall green trees with thin trunks, sunlit in places where dappled light penetrates and shadowed in other places, the brightest spot appearing at the end of the path.
