#Plath remains in that original category of poets. When I revisit #Tulips, I am always impressed with the #terrible_honesty she submitted herself to. It required a #superhuman state of mind. Plath was a #heroine_of_poetry.
She always inspires me. She was also a far greater poet than her husband.

There’s A Huge Boulder, Just Within The Rotherslade Sea I think as Egg Rock, where the swirl of her very darkest tides, crash, a fallen, lone bad tooth within the rictus smile of bay; where she hears the gurgling screams of every dying stone as each sandy fleck is daily dragged and held beneath water again; a cortège of cautious clouds softens horizon’s razor-edge, but stepped-back, as a freshly opened ambulance’s helpless gawping crowd. At night, moon-silks dress the pews of surf: a readiness bleeding from her marrow to slip… and finally be wed.
