Ok, notes for #ProjectorSewing:
1) Write the piece inventory out on post-its, pin to pieces as they're cut
2) Organize lining or interfacing pieces toward one end of the visual desk
3) Figure out more about single-layer cutting
Sewing pattern lines in terminal green projected onto a dark gridded background. In one corner there is a 4-inch registration square that aligns well with the clear quilting ruler on top of it.
Ok, I'm very very close to having my #ProjectorSewing dialed in and calibrated. But there's a tiny bit of dimensional drift, and I am beginning to think my table might be a tiny bit uneven/not level.
Since it is looking like a homemade holiday season this year, I figured I better get started instead of waiting till the second week of December

Using paper is annoying, so it’s projector sewing for me

Howdy #SewSky! Is anyone one else figuring out #ProjectorSewing ?
Being a #ProjectorSewist is new to me. Would love to connect with others & learn together. So far I’m using Affinity Designer for adjustments on an iPad
Dipping my toes into the world of projector sewing. First garment cut this way for me. #garmentsewing #projectorsewing
I guess as a TikTok refugee, maybe I’ll get around to actually set up my projector and finish my next sewing project. What project are you working on? #tiktokban #crafter #projectorsewing
A mini projector, mounted in the ceiling, projects pattern pieces onto cutting mats (and fabric, not shown) on the table. No messy paper patterns needed.
I set up my office/sewing room for projector sewing, so I don't have to mess around with paper patterns anymore. And then I blogged about it like it was delightfully 2005. #sewing #projectorsewing www.jillmurray.com/2025/01/proj...
