A pacific chorus frog (Pseudacris regilla) perches on the pleasingly dramatic leaf blades of a clump of black mondo grass (Ophiopogon planiscapus nigrescens), a relative of lily of the valley that does really well in Coastal BC. I'm not actually sure if the frog is trying to blend in, or simply stalking the small european grey slugs that infest the mondo grass in all seasons. Probably both🖤🐸🖤Frog slug patrol, at work!
"I'm blending right in! You can't see me!" {angles eye stripe to mimic arc of leaf}
