#tixy widget pour #qtile : c'est fait ✅

image du widget de contributions github sur la barre de Qtile. Ça ressemble à une matrice de petits carrés dont la couleur verte varie en fonction du nombre de contribution du jour.

Cette semaine, je suis passé de #awesomeWM à #Qtile.
Pas trouvé de widgets pour les contrib. #github -> c'est fait ! ✅

ok, dieses #qtile ist wirklich ganz nett. Fühlt sich wie mein altes xmonad an, nur halt mit python drunter und Wayland. :D

OK, da denkt man sich: Alle populären #tiling Windowmanager für #Wayland haben das eine oder das andere Problem. Viele sind unmaintained, Sway hat dieses manuelle tiling von i3, Hyprland hat einen Hauptentwickler... Ich will doch nur ein #xmonad für Wayland...

One thing i wish for : the setting new_is_master could be divide for each layout (tile, spiral, dwindle). A little bit like #qtile

I haven't really tried the scroller layout. I prefer to discover this kind of tilling with niri.

Thinking of redoing my setup on my PC. Now the question is do I #distrohop and try out a new distro all together or do I start with #ricing #qtile because that’s something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile.

Spent 9 hours on my laptop, setting up Debian 12 and Qtile with a Win10 VM inside of Qemu, then somehow nuked systemd while installing Network Manager.
Instead of fixing it, I did a fresh install and got it back in under 3 hours.
So I initially spent 6 hours doing research.

Few people are giving it a chance but with a few lines of code you can write a single #Qtile config file that works both in Wayland and X.
