I’ll be remembering the three firefighters who lost their lives in the fire at RAF Neatishead on 16th February 1966.
I went through RAF West Drayton in 1987 and we learned about it on our training course.

I had the pleasure and honour of serving with Paddy at RAF Buchan.
He was a great radar operator and a wonderful man.

But this does look good and I’ll probably park my questions until afterwards and just enjoy the story. It’s got a great cast, and I think Bigelow did a great job with ‘Zero Dark Thirty’.

Can anyone at @rafadrm.bsky.social remember the name of this gizmo when we had ICCS in the bunker? It was meant to sit at the front of Upper Ops and project on to the big screen?
The actual projector sat in a room behind the screen and did a reverse image projection on to it.

“Although the radar based at RAF Fylingdales forms part of the Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS), and can detect incoming threats”.
