Satellite images from @planet.com show the level of damage in Guangfu in the aftermath of the breach of the Matai'an landslide dam in Taiwan in typhoon #Ragasa. It is clear that a very large part of the community suffered inundation. In total, 18 people were killed and seven are still missing.

Over 180,000 people have donated so far, culminating in 4 hundred million New #Taiwan dollars going toward #recovery efforts after the ravages of super typhoon #Ragasa 🙏

Watching for tropical development in the Philippine Sea later next week or next weekend. This developing cyclone can eventually follow a path similar to Super Typhoon #Ragasa last week, which can hamper clean-up efforts in the N #Philippines, S #China & N #Vietnam.

Typhoon #Bualoi is over the South China Sea & will pass south of #Hainan Island on Sunday. Bualoi will enter the Gulf of Tonkin Sunday night then make landfall in northern #Vietnam on Monday, local time. This will come just four days after #Ragasa impacted these same areas.
