Premier League ends #RainbowLaces campaign after 8 years due to religious objections from players, supporters. A new „wider“ LGBTQ+ acceptance initiative is supposed to launch for UK Queer History Month.

NEW: Stonewall says the Premier League’s decision to replace #RainbowLaces is part of the “natural ebb and flow” of the campaign.
The PL will launch a new LGBTQ+ initiative in February. The FA is working through its own inclusion strategy, with the WSL also yet to confirm plans.

More than a third of Chelsea and Brighton domestic games in 2024/25 were subject to such reports. The data comes amid uncertainty over #RainbowLaces.
