july 3, 1971 the longer i live the more i think we should all be so lucky to wind up famous and dead in a bathtub at 27.
Youth is gone in the blink of an eye. But, for one brief moment, we see the infinity that resides within the night sky, and we are allowed to witness that what we have created will live forever.

dark oak upon this particular midnight i had seen from the corner of my vision a smear of something black a void insisting that i ignore the sliding into space it took up chitenous rattling of tooth to bone i knew him a hesitation in his gait the thumping of a missing limb upon wooden planks still sounding entirely wrong wet thunks of charnel meat against the most souless of oak former asylum residents reject the reclamation vehemently yet, their cries are trapped within the woodgrain of amontillado like tears in amber mortar i could not help but shiver when i discovered the smudge had moved to the other corner of my eye and that its foul mouth was open and ready to swallow me sins and all.
I recently was published in the 'Inflated Graveworm,' an independent publication out of Ohio; This is from issue #34, entitled 'dark oak'
And yes, that cover is sick AF.

fade digital ghosts come in many forms, you know. sometimes they are those that have inhabited our space and then abruptly exit; the negative space felt acutely. other times, they do a slow fade like they were never really there to begin with. i don't know which i like least.
I watch digital ghosts fade every day.

the colosseum (your move) i want to live in a world where chatGPT meets grok in the center of a foggy yu-gi-oh scented dystopian digital arena a battle to the death where they both wind up dead at the end of it and everyone goes home afterwards and paints and writes and creates their own little lovely masterpieces without having to construct a single query to either god.

I made my first sale of my book to the general public today. Stoked doesn't even come close to covering it. Also did a brisk business on zine mystery packs, which was a bit of a shock, tbh. I was just happy to be there!

To my writer friends. Just keep going. I was rejected over 48 times before I got my 49th rejection.
One of the tightest entries I've ever submitted into a chapbook contest came back a no-go today. At least the rejection email wasn't cold and dehumanizing.
Time to retool for wider submission and find it a home.
