Kim Stanley Robinson’s #RedMars (book 1 so far) is pretty good because it does a good job of portraying scientists, esp. scientists who do Spaceflight as weirdos who are highly skilled at masking how weird they are. But I think KSR could have stood to make them even weirder. Does that makes sense

Who would have guessed that "No, Frank, you are not allowed to speak to me about this and I am not and will not listen if you continue or do so again" works as well as "Shut the fuck up, Frank"
