Goddamn beastly today: Got 8s on BW+85 #ringDips and then banged out a backoff of BW+55x18, which was a +2 rep PR. Now I'll finally be on to repping out two-plates on those dips, which will be the first time I've even touched two plates for any kind of dips.
... So now I have to figure out what variation to use following the achievement of that unweighted goal. For #ringDips, I stepped up my weighted sets from 2 to 3 and my unweighted backoffs over to #BulgarianDips and managed only 15 reps each for 2 hard sets, which was a fortuitous amount of runway.
I'm fairly certain even if I apply the data about regular dips compared to #ringDips conservatively, I could probably manage two plates for reps even up to 10+. I may have to see if there's a dip attachment compatible with my squat rack and perhaps use it to flesh out the lower rep ranges.
Hit a new milestone with #ringDips in my #ringTraining today. I only just bumped the weight up to 75lb and managed seven reps with that. Then I followed up with my usual unweighted backoff sets needing 90+ reps over three sets which I exceeded to finish strong with a 35 rep set...
Calculated from an unweighted AMRAP performed after two sets with 65lb of additional weight up to 9 reps as well as an unweighted set of 29, obviously at 2+RiR.
Calculated from a weighted AMRAP with 70lb of additional weight performed after one set of 6 reps, obviously at 2+RiR.
Wow, these were calculated from my last two PRs on #ringDips (unweighted and weighted, respectively--more details in the alt-text). I hadn't realized I had already progressed so far on this. The weighted PR I performed having done triceps extensions the day prior and heavy bench two days prior.
