The Royal Bini line of ceramic jewelry with 24K gold overlay and sterling silver fittings was a collaboration between artistic giants Anton Michelsen and Royal Copenhagen, both of Denmark, and designed by Nils Thorssen. All six pendants are available in my Ruby Lane shop, and three of them are still in the original boxes! Very 1960s mod! GoGo boots, and swimming pools!

A gorgeous vintage 1960s handmade ceramic and gilt sterling silver modernist pendant necklace designed by Nils Thorssen for the Royal Bini collection of the late 1960s, and still in the original box! The Royal Bini line of jewelry was a collaboration between silversmithy Anton Michelsen, and ceramic company Royal Copenhagen, both of Denmark. An abstract design with a turquoise blue shell-shape at top and a large 24K gold disk shape at bottom surrounded by organic shapes in more muted colors, and all on a brilliant white glazed ceramic oval disk! A work of Danish modern art and quite a statement when worn! The pendant measures 2-3/4" tall including the bail by a hair under 2" wide, and hangs on a 22.5" gilt sterling chain. Fully marked on the pendant bail for Michelsen, and "925S". Also marked on the back of the pendant with Royal Copenhagen marks, and designer mark for Nils Thorssen as shown. The chain is marked "Sterling" on the spring-ring closure, and looks original to me. Still in the original box which is marked for both Michelsen, and Royal Copenhagen. This pendant would look equally great on a chain or a neckring, or even on a black fabric cord! There are a few minute kiln marks at back which are part of the handmade process of making this item, not damage. Excellent vintage condition.
