Baby African Violet in clear plastic pot with lots of white perlite mixed into the peat.
The first baby violet of the year that I didn't kill! I separated the baby from its mom's leaf today. I'll probably coddle it under the propagation dome for a bit.The leaf was gifted to me from a friend. I’m looking forward to seeing it grow and bloom. #africanviolets #houseplants #saintpaulia

The trailing violet on the left has heavy white variegation on the green leaves. The other has light pink and white variegation on the dark green leaves. The one on the left has pale pink buds opening.
I added two new AVs from Appalachian Violets to my collection, a miniature trailing violet and a standard size one, both with different variegation on the leaves. Surprisingly both have the beginnings of buds.

The two photos are of the same African violet. The photo on the left was snapped on Feb.14, while the other was taken today. It seems this plant's blooms darken with age. Kind of like having two different plants, but without the extra watering.

Green African violet leaves and Swedish ivy leaves are rooting in trays and pots of rooting substrate.
Propagation update. Several African violet leaves are getting their roots and three now have adorable babies popping out. I'm also rooting stems of a Swedish Ivy Plant. All are in my substrate of peat, perlite and vermiculite for rooting.
