A pair of yellow Morchella aka the true morel mushrooms growing side by side in a sandy soil near a creek in the forest.
It won't be visible on this photo due to very shallow depth of field at the widest aperture of the lens used but there were actually 4 hazel brown morels growing in a single cluster here.
A thick bush of Caltha palustris, known as marsh-marigold or kingcup growing in a wet woodland near a creek.
Many patches of the forest along our trail were super photogenic, laden with loads of different wild flowers of this and that variety, big and small. This particular stretch of the woods had thousands upon thousands of these tiny violet-blue Vinca minor, commonly known as lesser or dwarf periwinkle.
From the same walk in the woods. Besides picking loads of lovely bear leek, we also found a few morels, some medicinal herbs and generally had a really lovely time on beautiful sunny day's walk in the woods.
