Another day, another #scenicspecies hat! A crested Cara Cara on the beach! I was in Texas for that big freeze a few years ago and watched one of these birds pick at some frozen fish that washed up.

#blueskyartshow today is #reflections. I’m reflecting on my time spent watching Cara Cara’s on the texas gulf shore, reflections in the water, and on my past #scenicspecies series. Hard not to absolutely love this one.

Participating in #fishyfeb, here is another of my #scenicspecies series. Based on a tide pool, depicting a little sculpin, gumboot chiton, anemones and ochre sea stars. This one remains unclaimed, and currently discounted! If you are a tide pooler, maybe it’s the hat for you!

Second hat I’m sharing from my #scenicspecies embroidery series, an orca emerging in front of glaciers in Alaska. This was something I witnessed several summers ago and will never forget! ✨pure magic✨

Can’t wait to share these hats from my all time favorite project with you. The theme was #scenicspecies and told a story of an animal and their place I have had the privilege to visit. Here we have the Grand Canyon and a elusive Gila Monster.
