January: -time to gear up in the woodshop. I started with a simple project. I used clear Poplar, cutting an appropriate length of wood with a vintage handsaw.
Then, it was on to the Pegas scrollsaw to cut the interlocking pieces of Mr. Moose.

2D plywood Christmas trees displayed inside a box. The trees are being illuminated by a light from behind. The back of the box is painted blue and there is a plywood star painted yellow mounted just above the trees. The trees also have different coloured cellophane glued onto the back of them so when the light passes through the holes in the trees it looks like glowing Christmas baubles.

Here is a picture of the finished winter shadow box in the dark with the back lights on. My Dad help with installing the lights as I'm not very good at stripping wires. #DIY #woodworking #Christmas #scrollsaw
