It’s about three in the afternoon and it is 20° here in Black rock Connecticut and it feels like -1° according to the weather app. I struck out to feed my birds, but I found something highly unusual. 2 women in fur coats were setting up tea.

My bench in various times of year. It’s not really mine, I do share it with the community. But, I am very fond of it and do get put out if someone is already sitting there.

My mother used to call every gull she saw Sally Seagull. We lived on an inland farm, and she said that the seagulls brought rain. I only found seagulls yesterday on my beach. I know now that they don’t bring rain, but I still call the gulls, Sally Seagull.
