Drawing of a dark-skinned child with a colourful dress and a dark-haired young woman speaking in a fictional language and interacting with large spiders.

In the Lahjqoel countries, it is usual to have a pet spider in the garden to get rid of pests. This spider gets used to the human presence and also gets handled.
Suitable species can be the blue tarantula (AKA gardener spider) or the Icorogla glowing spider.

Lagotia myriapoda is a creeping plant of the rocky coasts, developing from volatile seeds that reach the crevices in the rocks and grow climbing the coast, to produce a spike of fruits that will be transported by the wind.

The giant liverwort lives on the rocky coasts, adapted to live and disperse propagules in saltwater.
The height of the reproductive structure can reach 50 cm, with a stiff stalk and a light umbrella, to compete with the tall flowering plants for wind dispersion.

Drawing of a rabbit-bat hybrid, called Lagotus piscatorius.

The rabbat is a bat typical of the extreme east coast, usually resting under the big leaves of coastal plants. With its large ears it can discern many sounds and effectively locate its preys also underwater.
Its long legs and sharp claws are used to catch fish.

Carabonomus telral is the only neotenic and marine Spiritoidea. It lives in the coastal waters of Telra, feeding on the algae and mimicking the sandy bottom with its colours, especially when moving.
It surfaces to breathe with a respiratory tube on its abdomen.

Drawing of the life cycle of a speculative insect called Spiritella bilimutla.

Spiritella bilimutla lives on the extreme east coast, where winds are so strong that can sustain aeroplankton for months. This species is seasonal and metamorphoses from a wood-eating and burrowing larva to an aeroplanktonic adult when the plants start flowering.

Spiritella aywula lives, obviously, in the Aywu desert. The larva is a skilled burrowing predator like an antlion, which eats other insects and metamorphoses underground when ready. The adult waits for the wind to fly away and become an aeroplanktonic omnivore.

In the waters of the southern archipelago, these jellyfish swarm at night and glow with a faint green bioluminescence.
The glowing patterns look like small worms and are used to lure preys, meanwhile strong, pulsing flashes are used to scare predators off.

Scorpio asteroides is called after its shiny and resistent shell, like an asteroid.
This shell allows it to withstand the summer temperatures of the Aywu desert, the only place in the Sedimentary Lands where the temperatures are always high.

They are omnivorous, sometimes cannibal and can grow the size of a coconut crab.

Trolls inhabit the Ana region and are adapted to the cold by changing their fur, from a grey shorter fur during summer to a white, thicker and longer fur in winter.
They have more complex nasal turbinates than other primates to conserve heat.

In the waters of the north pole lives a cetacean that is the subject of many legends. The gorilla-whale has strange fins with vestigial nails and can reach 20 m of length. It's rarely seen but it's known to hunt all types of animals, from fish to turtles to other cetaceans.

The grass wurm is a #wyrm of the Aywu region, which specialised in eating #plants. Specifically, the plants which concentrate all their liquids in the fruit, which produces a toxin to protect the water.
The wurm developed a resistance to the toxin and is able to eat the fuits.
