I had this vintage table runner in my stash for years. There was a big rust stain right in the middle of it. I finally decided to remake it into this cropped tank top. The embroidered poppies are so pretty and deserve to be seen again..

A work-in-progress crochet mandalas lies on a black desktop with a white ruler on top and my 3.5mm crochet hook at the bottom of the pic. This mandala is red, just fading into one thread of orange at the edge. The central daisy has been completed and I’m building up the leaves at the edge now. I call this self-drafted pattern All Flowers. This parasol will be 48” wide when it is complete, although the ruler shows it’s almost 13” wide right now.

This is what 13,000 stitches looks like. Conveniently, it’s almost 13” wide in my All Flowers pattern.

Why is my ruler 13” wide? Only the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, for whom my grandfather was a steward, knows.

Second time trying out this new self-drafted pattern & I think it’s ready to go. Previously I had some gathering going on at the start of the tulips, but this time I resolved it. Did not write down ✨how✨ I resolved it… so… Yeah.

Day 3 and I’m off-pattern, free-wheeling… panicking?

I’ve decided on large pineapples into tulips and fans. If this works out will I ever be able to recreate it? (That’s the real reason I post these #wip posts, to know wtf I was thinking.) 🧶
