Fair Isle sweater knitted in two strands of Harrisville Designs Shetland held double. The body of the sweater is white with deep violet triangular and diamond designs. The sleeves are purple with white triangle designs at the cuffs. The pattern is from Lopi.

Garter stitch lace is a fun intro to the art.
This pattern is for a scarf or a rectangular shawl, and it's reasonably beginner friendly. I knit the sample for the pattern from Mile Wide Crafts cotton boucle.

I pretty much only make things for myself in grey. Black, when the eyes can manage it, but dark grey is the compromise. Unfortunately, I need baby soft thin yarn, and that usually only comes in light greys... Booo!

A silk mohair in a dark purple color - a mix of bands of garter stitch and Old Shale pattern. The shawl is draped on a dress form, the photo was taken outside on a patio and the background is browned out grass and green trees. There’s a pot of red mandevilla in the one corner.

Four skeins of silk and mohair yarn from DyeForYarn. The colorway is Last Dance - a dark purple red and this batch has some darker and lighter areas - a little different from other skeins I’ve bought.

The theme is FLOOF for #ShowMeYouKnits this week. I used DyeForYarn MoFluff Silk Mohair in Last Dance colorway to make Nevasca Shawl last year. I gave it to my niece - she needed a shawl for my sister’s/her mom’s funeral a year ago. Ordered more yarn and thinking I might make a Ziggy Shawl.

Despite a crocheted edge I did not trust my steek- or my buttons, so reinforced with vinyl tape used for puffer jacket repair - still intact almost two years later! Inside of a handknit sweater shows black tape along the seams for reinforcement

#showmeyouknits cardigans! This sweater was playing higher than my skill level- an adapted raglan sweater in the sea glass pattern, steeked, using all scraps, including non feltable super wash and cotton blends. I wear all the time, a greatreminder not to be too precious with #knitting! #knitsky 🧶

I've finally used up my leftover sock yarn from previous projects and finished my mismatched matching sock collection.

Clearly the only the to do now is crack open the sock yarn stash and cast on a new pair with brand new yarn!
