A picture taken in the #Koblenz 🇩🇪 area in May 2006, after a visit to the nearby #DB museum at Koblenz-Lützel: a Class 110 #E10 electric is seen here working a local service composed of (repainted) #Silberling cars. This 110 hasn’t got the elegant Bügelfalte cab design but a more traditional (🙄) one.
Travelling by train in the #Aachen 🇩🇪 area in February 2002, I came across this regional service: a consist composed of #DB #Silberling cars, hauled by an #E10 Class 110 electric, in “ozeanblau-beige” livery, very common in the 1980s and still present at the turn of the millennium.
During the early 2000s, when based in Brussels, I frequently travelled to Germany, via #Aachen 🇩🇪. Pictured here is a #DB local service, hauled by a Class 110 #E10 #Bügelfalte, once working fast long-distance services. The first car is of the #Silberling type, still retaining its namesake design.
