Monument to Boris and Gleb at the walls of the Borisoglebsky Monastery in Dmitrov (2006, sculptor A. I. Rukavishnikov) is unique in that two horsemen are on one pedestal. Boris and Gleb (baptized Roman and David, killed in 1015) - Russian princes, sons of Kiev's Grand Duke Vladimir Svyatoslavich and his wife Byzantine princess Anna from the Armenian (Macedonian) dynasty. In the internecine struggle that broke out in 1015 after the death of their father, they were killed by their elder brother Svyatopolk Damned. Boris and Gleb became the first Russian saints, they were canonized in the face of martyr martyrs, making them intercessors of the Russian land and heavenly assistants to Russian princes. The Chronicles are full of stories about the miracles of healing that took place at their coffin, about the victories won by their name and with their help, about the pilgrimage of the princes to their coffin, etc. The creation of the monument was financed by the Fund of the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin.

This monument is the creation of the hands of the famous sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov. Peter Alekseevich Kropotkin was born in 1842 in Moscow. He was a scientist, traveler, geologist, geographer, historian and at the same time anarchist theorist. He studied in the Corps of Pages in St. Petersburg, after graduating from which he went to serve in Siberia. Upon his return to Petersburg, he was arrested for revolutionary activity, spent two years in the Peter and Paul Fortress, then made a daring escape from the Nikolayev Military Hospital and disappeared from the eyes of police snoops. So began the 40-year period of emigration P. A. Kropotkin, ended only in 1917, after which he settled in Dmitrov. Here, buying a house for the symbolic price of Count Olsufiev (a follower of Leo Tolstoy), he moved in the summer of 1918. And from here in February 1921 the funeral train took him to the last road.
