Section of a trunk of a long-dead tree. Some of the bark remains, broken up, covered with lichen and some moss. Where there is no bark, the wood has been excavated by woodpeckers and other birds; there are holes large and small. From the trunk broken, bare branches reach out; good perches for feeding birds. In the background, there's a second, similar tree, not quite as deteriorated yet, and behind that, green branches of other evergreens.
