Two partly painted Pathfinder goblin miniatures. Each of the goblins is holding a sword and torch. Front view.

All colors are Golden SoFlat paints unless noted. The one with brown on the front has its shadow greens made of dark green and burnt umber. The one with red in the front has its shadow greens made of dark green and quinacridone red.

For the one on the right, torches and torchlight are painted with cadmium primrose, cadmium orange, Kimera Kolors orange, quinacridone red, cadmium red dark, and a mix of the cadmium red dark mixed with burnt umber.

For the one on the left, the torch is painted nearly entirely with fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange, and fluorescent red, with glazes of Kimera orange. The tips are painted with cadmium red dark and burnt umber.

Pictured are two of four skeleton miniatures from the HeroQuest board game. Wveryhting is painted except for the scale mail in the crotch and the bases. Front view.

The leathers were painted with a layering of Golden SoFlat paints, burnt umber, burnt sienna, mars yellow deep, Naples yellow deep, and then a dot of titan buff here and there.

The first skeleton is painted with a sketch and blend technique, matching darker colors to the shadows and brighter ones to the highlights. The colors used were Golden SoFlat raw umber, Kimera oxide brown light, and SoFlat titan buff. They were mixed to create the blends. The kilt was painted with all SoFlats, crimson, layered with cadmium red dark, pyrrole red, and cadmium red light then glazed with Phthalo Green. The armor and scythe blade were painted mostly with Kimera white, iron hue, silver gray, and carbon black. A thin glaze of Golden SoFlat phthalo blue was applied on the armor and scythe blade.

The second skeleton was painted with SoFlat titan buff and then a wash of Vallejo sepia wash. Some highlights were painted over that. The kilt was painted with all SoFlats, phthalo blue (green shade), cobalt blue, cerulean blue hue, and medium phthalo blue, glazed with Kimera orange. The armor and scythe were painted the same as the skeleton above. The glaze over the armor was Golden high flow acrylic transparent red iron oxide to get an orange-y rust color. The scythe was glazed with blue like the skeleton above.

A miniature muscle car from the Car Wars game painted with a metallic dark blue and flames on the hood and roof. The car sports lots of exhaust pipes, two pairs of black painted laser guns, a pair of black painted heavy machine guns, and what looks like either four launching ports or exhaust ports in the back. The engine sticks up above the hood and appears to be a v8. Front view from above.

Fourth session: mostly just touch ups and error correction.

Third session: refined the flames and guns (add SoFlat Pale Yellow and Kimera Orange, glazed guns with SoFlat Phthalo Blue Green Shade), painted exhausts and hubcaps with Molotow silver (One4All refill), painted engine with Vallejo gunmetal mixed with Daler Rowney Black Ink. Grill was Molotow silver mixed with the Phthalo Blue or Golden High Flow Acrylic Prussian Blue. Just the windshield and perhaps some weathering left!

This second session: painted the tires and guns with a mix of Golden So Flat black and white. Blocked in the colors for flames on the hood and roof, no blending done yet but obviously still needed. Used Golden SoFlat pyrrole red, cadmium orange, and permanent yellow deep.

First session: Though I experimented a bit with Molotow paints, the airbrush, and a gradient like the other car in this post, I eventually painted it entirely with Molotow silver, which is incredible. It’s got tiny mica flakes, is super bright, runs through an airbrush like a dream, and cleans easily from the airbrush. On top of that I applied a Golden high flow acrylic Prussian blue hue paint, which is transparent and so the car looks like it’s been painted with a metallic dark blue.

Largely painted sports car sporting two mounted missiles and two light guns. There is a gradient from purple at the bottom towards magenta/pink at the top. The missiles are painted from a dark to very light blue. The rack that mounts the gins and missile is paint an aqua colored metallic. The entire palette is reminiscent of synthwave, very Miami Vice in appearance. This photo is a front view from above, taken with black light so the fluorescent pinks and blues glow.

Third and final session: painted taillights. Outer lights were painted with Golden SoFlats cadmium red dark towards the bottom and a mix of the same line’s cadmium red light and fluorescent red. The inner lights were painted with Golden SoFlat cadmium red light towards the bottom and cadmium orange towards the top. Emblem on the rear was painted with Molotow One4All (refill) silver. Windshield was a mix of Golden SoFlat cerulean blue hue and a dark gray made of SoFlat black and white, then medium phthalo blue mixed into it until finally it was white with a touch of the medium phthalo blue. The guns were layered with shades of grey and then were glazed with thin filter of SoFlat phthalo blue. Edge highlighted selected areas with white and then SoFlat fluorescent pink on it.

Second session: repainted the whole thing with Golden SoFlat dioxazine violet deep, then their blue violet, red violet, quinacridone magenta, then naphthol pink, and finally fluorescent pink. The missile and gun rack was Molotow One4All silver mixed with Daler Rowney marine blue ink. Missiles were Golden SoFlat Payne’s gray, then their blue violet, cerulean blue, and cobalt teal. Them applied some white with Golden High Flow Acrylic fluorescent blue on top of that. Still need to do the windshield, tires, hubcaps, tail lights, and guns.

First session: airbrushed a gradient of Molotow One4All purple violet, then their purple, true blue, and shock blue middle. Then from above, Golden High Flow Acrylic teal.

A miniature muscle car from the Car Wars game crudely painted with a metallic dark blue. The car sports lots of exhaust pipes, two pairs of black painted laser guns, a pair of black painted heavy machine guns, and what looks like either four launching ports or exhaust ports in the back. The engine sticks up above the hood and appears to be a v8. Front view from the (US) driver’s side.

This fourth session: painted the windshield Golden SoFlat cerulean hue mixed with SoFlat phthalo blue green shade mixed with a bit of dark grey. The glazed up with SoFlat medium phthalo blue, then added some white and ultra matte medium to thin it and glaze easier. Then white with some medium blue on the corners of the windshield.

Second session: painted the tires and guns with a mix of Golden So Flat black and white.

The car sports lots of exhaust pipes, two pairs of black painted laser guns, a pair of black painted heavy machine guns, and what looks like either four launching ports or exhaust ports in the back. The engine sticks up above the hood and appears to be a v8. Front view from above.

This third session: refined the flames and guns (added SoFlat Pale Yellow and Kimera Orange, glazed guns with Golden SoFlat Phthalo Blue Green Shade), painted exhausts and hubcaps with Molotow silver (One4All refill), painted engine with Vallejo gunmetal mixed with Daler Rowney Black Ink. Grill was Molotow silver mixed with the Phthalo Blue or Golden High Flow Acrylic Prussian Blue. Just the windshield and perhaps some weathering left!

Second session: painted the tires and guns with a mix of Golden So Flat black and white.
