Stacking my freshly grown tempeh into the steamer basket. The blocks are separated with silicone so they won’t stick to each other. Once killed with steam, just freeze and use some everyday!
I prefer a ground tempeh. To make this I just used my stick blender on the soybeans when they were cooked and still in the boiling water. NOTE! I only pulsed the blender handle. Quick burst, move. Quick burst, move. Stir with the blender stick and continue until everything is approximate broken up but definitely not blended! I also threw in some brown rice after the soybeans were of similar size. Voila, easy.
Stacked steamer filled with fresh, fragrant tempeh. Steam about 20 minutes, allow to cool and freeze. No fuss, don’t overthink it.
Fresh mushrooms are bonkers!
Homemade #tempeh smells wonderful. Just steam and then store. 👏 So delicious!
