Quite some time since I updated my #SpottedLanternfly kill count. And really, I haven’t been great at getting out every day to kill them. Too many other garden tasks! But the last few times I’ve been out add up to 745 #SpottedLanternflies killed, so 2125+ since 4/30.

Haven’t updated my #SpottedLanternfly numbers the last few days. Total over 4 days is ~280, so total #SpottedLanternflies killed since 4/30 is 1380+. Won’t get any more over the next few days due to the rain coming, most likely.

If we assume 1/2 are female (not scientific perhaps but best I can do), and usual egg numbers, that’s 33,000-55,000 eggs never laid. 15-30 minutes’ work each day.

Warning from the Metro: completely destroy any & all #TreesOfHeaven , they host #SpottedLanternflies. Some state & edu links have Lanternfly reporting systems. They’ll destroy our entire agricultural & ecosystem.
