Staghorn Fern Spore Experiment
It’s been 57 days, and out of 10 boxes of spores, 5 got moldy. I sterilized them with a 1:2 mix of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water.
One box finally shows a little green hope. So excited! 😍

#Staghornfern plant of the day: They mainly get moisture & nutrients from foliage, so humidity/misting is good. Keep Shield #Fronds dry. Be careful w roots, they’re smaller delicate & prone to rot. Mounting w sphagnum moss works great, but make sure the roots can breathe. #houseplants #plants #ferns
