Great question. It depends on the agent and their agency guidelines, so research their submission policy.

#RevisionTip Consider each scene and ask: Why this moment? If you can't answer, see what can be combined or tightened. Cut any action repeated from a prior scene. Maintain balance: light to counter darkness; calm to counter chaos; comfort to counter fear; etc. #amwriting #amrevising #StarlingLit

#WriteTip #RevisionTip Find opportunities to let the reader know how the character feels. Take a close look at conversations. Try adding their inner thoughts between the lines. How does the character feel about the conversation? What is the unspoken transaction in the scene? #amrevising #StarlingLit
