Completely agree. This #Steplab article on SEND was presented at a talk that (curric & assess rev leader) @beckyfrancis.bsky.social called ‘important’. It references opinion - incl Teacher Tapp! - and entirely omits #autistic & other #ND authored ed theory, research etc. Nothing on #monotropism

The presentation she shares is based on a (non-peer-rev) #Steplab ‘discussion’ paper which is riddled with dubious claims, eg that of ‘cognitive similarity’, stating:

“how [CYP] pay attention, process info & build understanding - are remarkably consistent across individuals”

This misapprehension
