A very Merry Christmas
you lovely lot from #Stratters and my Bottom in the tree. 😊🎄
Elaborate metal Victorian street lamp, 5 globes glowing in the dark against a backdrop of night time trees.
Rarely out after dark these days but walking home from the station this evening I passed this splendid old street lamp near the church. Pressed all the wrong buttons for night mode on my iPhone camera and ended up with “stage light”. Seems fitting for #Stratters and I rather like the effect. 🤷♀️
Going to see Twelfth Night tonight (think it’s the first preview) with my favourite teacher from school who brilliantly taught English and Drama and who is now a very near neighbour as well (across the street and down a bit)! How’s that for coming full circle. #Stratters
River Avon at Stratford with a mist shrouded row of trees along the left hand bank and a solitary swan gliding towards the camera.
Clopton Bridge brick arches spanning the River Avon. Misty, still, trees and lamp post just standing out.
A bird on a post in the mist by the river. Bridge arches and boat house just visible behind through the mist. Some type of gull or tern.
Freezing mist in #Stratters. All shades of grey and washed out brown and I love it like this.
Part of the metal, rust coloured wall of The Other Place theatre (previously The Courtyard) which resembles a massive ship’s container and alongside it is an old red brick and black beamed cottage with leaded lattice windows. All under a clear blue sky. Stratford on Avon.
Flooded path just along from the theatre in Stratford. You’d need waders at least or preferably a canoe.
Old, new and some smashing shadows. The river path is a bit soggy though. #Stratters
“Bert” has deposited a single, rather pretty leaf on the bedroom window….and many more of the last hangers on in the garden below. A far cry from the blue sky of yesterday. #Stratters
Holy Trinity church in Stratford on Avon taken from across the river. Blue sky and a weeping willow. Half expecting Ophelia to float by.
Another cracking day in #Stratters. Making the most of it before “Bert” blows in.
Don't think I'll ever tire of watching a skein of geese fly over our house. Almost dark now but got to the landing window in time to see a pleasingly large one joyfully honk its way to the river. Imagine they'll now be having a noisy catch up with their old mates into the small hours. #Stratters
The wag who put the googly eyes on the light by the theatre river steps has now added fangs. If there aren’t antlers, a red nose or a Santa hat by mid December I’ll be very disappointed. #Stratters
Much more of a dipper than poster theses days but it's lovely (and comforting) to see so many from you know where. My TL is reminding me of the old place back in the mists of time when it was a joy to look and not a horror show. And thanks for all the follows. More twaddle from #Stratters soon.
“Michael’s Beech” in Holy Trinity graveyard. Every Autumn these teeny beauties pop up. Much needed splash of colour on a grey old day in #Stratters.
The lonely last leaf still hanging on #Stratters
Intermittent sunshine, honey hues and berries. Holy Trinity in #Stratters getting her Autumn glow on.
It’s beginners day on the river in #Stratters. The young rowers (Esme Booths of the future maybe) are getting to grips with massive oars and wobbly boats and what they lack in expertise is definitely outweighed by their enthusiasm. Much sploshing, splashing and whooping with delight.
A tree with textured, red coloured trunk and broad, twisting branches stretching downward and outward to the left of the image. Beyond the tree, a river. The water is bordered by a rough, grassy area. Sunlight filters through the branches, casting dappled shadows on the path in the foreground.
Could anyone help me to understand why I had to create a duplicate image in collage form in order to get the whole of my photo to display?
Without this, the lower part of my image would not show. TIA

Corker of a washing day. Not a cloud in the glorious blue sky above #Stratters and the newly planted Japanese Anemones are loving it.
Our new home seems to be directly on the geese fly path & there's been a lot of late summer activity. Skeins honking loudly & excitedly above the garden as they begin their descent to the river a stone's throw away. Not complaining. I love a good honk and the sound of beating wings. #Stratters
Bit grey and overcast in dear old #Stratters this morning but the Cosmos in the garden is ZINGING 😍
What's the hashtag #Stratters mean / for pls?
Swan and leaf. #Stratters
Soggy berries #Stratters
Next door’s clematis is having a bit of a moment. I do like this purple/pale rust/fading leaf combo. #AutumnalLastGasp #Stratters

Colour inspiration for a new pair of gloves. Love a rusty red. #Stratters
Gorgeous day. Blue sky for Blue Sky and Holy Trinity looking lovely #Stratters
